INSPECTORS
The iter of qualification to become inspector in the organic and food sector depends on the organization that wants to qualify the technician. The present Decree D. Lgl 220/95, establishes some requisites for the title of study. The most appreciated are: Degree in food sciences, biology, chemistry etc. However the title of study alone is not enough. It is necessary to acquire experience and professionalism in the sector. Every control body establishes a special process of qualification but they usually foresee a phase of theoretical and on field training.Italian control bodies are accredited by Sincert (www.sincert.it) that among the different aspects controlled every year, it also checks staff training and qualification.
