New market needs involve the request of new voluntary certifications. Such certifications, that have always been based on requirements of quality and safety, are involving new ethical values as respect for the environment and respect of workers' health, safety and dignity. For this reason, Bioagricert has implemented two new certification schemes:

FAIR TRADE CERTIFICATION- operAequa which main objetcs are to:
- improve workers' conditions
- develop the organization of disadvantaged producers (espcially in Third Countries)
- avoid discrimination and guarantee equal conditions among workers
- avoid infant work and protect children and women
- establish long-term and equal commercial relationships in which producers are paid for their products plus a premium for fair trade
- implement the use of sustainable and renewable resources

ECO ENERGY
The use of non renewable energetic resources increases the greenhouse effect and the emissions of CO2, causing the rise of temperatures all around the planet. To limit these serious climate changes we must reduce the emissions of CO2 and others in the atmosphere.
WHAT CAN OPERATORS DO? Operators who care about environment can adopt an ecologic management of their companies through:
- the use of ecologic measures that lead to energy econcomies
- the use of renewable resources (solar, wind, biomass etc.)
In this way, operators:
- can show consumers the trademark on their products
- can save energy and money, reducing production costs
