Exporting to Saudi Arabia requires compliance with the regulations of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), which oversees food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and cosmetics.
Before shipping, both the company and its products must be registered through the appropriate SFDA portals, and a local SFDA- licensed agent is required to handle these registrations.
Labelling rules are strict: Arabic is mandatory, key product details must be clearly indicated, and Halal certification is required for meat and animal- derived products, and increasingly for others.
Each shipment must also include a Certificate of Conformity issued by accredited bodies such as TABSEER, with whom Bioagricert is developing a collaboration.
The webinar aims to provide practical guidance for navigating these regulatory and procedural requirements.
