An innovative project designed to connect companies, institutions and supply chain professionals, highlighting a sector that serves approximately one billion meals every year in Italy.
Schools, hospitals, nursing homes, universities and corporate cafeterias: behind every meal served stands a sector worth more than €5 billion and employing around 100,000 people, according to ANIR Confindustria.
To strengthen its role and create new development opportunities, SANA Food 2027 introduces the Collective Catering Agora, a new initiative that will debut at BolognaFiere, Italy, from 21 to 23 February 2027, serving as a meeting point for food producers, catering companies, buyers, industry professionals and institutional stakeholders.
The project was also presented on 23 September in Naples during BIOER, where Claudia Castello, Exhibition Manager of SANA Food, discussed the future prospects of the sector in a dedicated industry forum.
The Agora will be built around four key pillars: discussion, demonstration, business and visibility. Conferences and round tables will explore topics such as organic products, Kosher and Halal certifications, fermented foods, food waste reduction, monitoring technologies and ESG issues. Theory will be complemented by practice at OoH Lab!, SANA Food’s dedicated area for cooking demonstrations and product presentations.
The objective is to encourage dialogue between supply and demand in a market where quality, traceability, certifications and sustainability are becoming increasingly important.
With the launch of the Agora, SANA Food expands its engagement with the out-of-home sector, giving Collective Catering the dedicated platform it deserves.
Join us at BolognaFiere from 21 to 23 February 2027.
