Vegetarian certification

Vegetarianism is the practice of abstaining from the consumption of meat (red meat, poultry, seafood and the flesh of any other animal), and may also include abstention from by-products of animal slaughter. As sometimes it can be difficult to identify clearly which foods do not contain animal ingredients, specific certification standards have been issued to verify and certify that a certain products does not contain ingredients of animal origin.

Bioagricert has issued a specific certification called VEG_CERT that can be applied to food products.
